Hillary to be President Again?

I don’t normally venture into the realm of politics, but I had CNN on yesterday and one of Sen. Clinton’s comments slipped through my campaign rhetoric filters. The interview was with Candy Crowley, who was pressing the candidate about the illegal immigration issue, and the junior senator from New York let a strange sentence escape from her lips that I think says a whole lot about her state of mind on the campaign trail:

The federal government should be making immigration policy and that’s what I’m going to try to do as president again…. [emphasis added]

“That’s what I’m going to try to do as president again?” Did I miss something during all those long years at sea? I guess she thinks she was president at some point in the past, though her husband may have something to say about it.

    WHAT WAS THAT?

Well, she did say they were co-president. Of course if you push that too far you end up with a violation of the constitution…

  3. Ian Says:

As you can only be president for two terms, I guess that means you can be 1/2 president for four terms.

I think Ian might be on to something…

    Not 1/2 president.

“Co-president” is the correct title, except when they are throwing things at each other.

It just illustrates the danger of becoming a self-appointed messiah: you might start believing it.
