Pack Your Seabags, Shipmates

Oh, boy. America may have just past the tipping point. This from Zogby:

A majority of likely voters – 52% – would support a U.S. military strike to prevent Iran from building a nuclear weapon, and 53% believe it is likely that the U.S. will be involved in a military strike against Iran before the next presidential election, a new Zogby America telephone poll shows.

Now, I don’t think for a minute that it will be a full-blown, purple to the skivvies shooting war like Iraq or Afghanistan. I’m thinking, Operation PRAYING MANTIS, Part Deux. And it’ll be focused on the Revolutionary Guards. But it will hurt for them, big time, and it will be another item on our already brimming plate.

I’m going on record, so mark your calendars. It’s no longer a matter of whether we strike Iran, it’s a matter of when. Bets, anyone?

Oh, and I don’t need the threat of this, either.

I was hoping that hurricane would drop some hard rain on us – but it skimmed by us. We are parched around here (Georgia).

I think you are right about Iran. They’ve been rattling their sabers at us for a long time and fighting us through Iraq since the beginning of that war. I really hope the type of war is like you say – we don’t need boots on the ground there.

To bad we didn’t do anything in January 81. I was a member of VA-145 embarked in USS Ranger CV61 in the Northern Arabian Sea when the hostages were release. The Alpha Strikes should have started the next day.
