If you live in Israel, that is. Below is a civil defense poster from Israel’s Home Front Command reminding Israelis how long they’ve got to move to shelter when the sirens go off.
Most Americans–heck, most people–can’t conceive of living with such a threat for a short period, much less two generations.

When I was a LCDR, I had the privilege of staying with Israeli we hosted at the staff college. He lived in Zikron Jacoov (its on that map). He took me up to the Israeli/Syrian border. Very eye opening.

What is also interesting about that poster is that it shows no distinction between the West Bank and the rest of Israel. Southern Samaria indeed!
