VietJet To Buy 100 Boeing 737 series. Vietnam origin low cost carrier, VietJet has signed an order for 100 Boeing 737 Max 200s. The order worth to USD 11.3 billion at list prices, was signed during a visit by US President Barack Obama to Hanoi.

"Our investment in a fleet of 200s will our growth strategy VietJet's coming international route network including long-haul flights account," says President and CEO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao VietJet. The aircraft will be delivered between 2019 and 2023, and will help increase the number of fleet of the airline making it to be 200 aircraft in 2023.

Per May 2016, VietJet operates about 35 Airbus A320s and five A321s while having a plane over 180 Airbus A320-family in the order - including 63 variants with new engines 'neo (new engine option)'. All Boeing 737 Max aircraft are powered by CFM International LEAP-1B, might there will be another options in the future.

The Max 200 variant is based on the 737 Max 8, but has a provision for exit row reconfigured allows you to accommodate up to 200 passengers in a single class seating arrangement.

VietJet is the first airline in private ownership of the new era that was established in Vietnam, the original operating license is accepted by the Vietnamese Minister of Finance in November 2007. Since its launch in December 2011, became the second private airline to offer domestic service in Vietnam as well as the fifth overall in the airline offering domestic flights civilians.
