Singapore Airlines A380 Hits Air Bridge At Sydney Airport

26 May 2014. Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 flight number SQ231, flew from Singapore to Sydney on 26 May 2014 made unexpected contact with air bridge.

This incident happened as super jumbo jet Airbus A380-800 taxiing on runway at Sydney Airport.

There were 285 passengers and 25 crew on board, but no passengers were reported harmed. Local news states that  Singapore Airlines Airbus A380-800 had just landed and on taxiing maneuver and parking at the gates. At that time, one of its Airbus A380-800 engine was struck the bridge.

Fortunately, there is no operational effects to the airport services and Airbus A380-800 already evacuated as well. The pilots of Singapore Airlines A380-800 should left the aircraft with embarrassed feel after little incident.

Until now, there are no official statement from Singapore Airlines about the incident and damage on its precious fleet.
