Pratt & Whitney PurePower Attaches to Mitsubishi Regional Jet

26 June 2014. Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1200G has met its destiny to be joined with Mitsubishi Regional Jet (MRJ).

The first flight test seems to be not far away for the regional jet project for Mitsubishi. Mitsubishi announces that the power plant that come from Pratt & Whitney has completed installed in the engine's nacelles.

The final assembly has been done in Mitsubishi's facility in Komaki South Plant. This phase is complete work and other supporting systems for the engines.

Earlier in mid-June, the PurePower has installed in its engine's mounting but with no wiring and piping systems. After all the completed power plants has attached on its place.

Mitsubishi spokesman said that first flight will take in second quarter 2015 and this will be the break point for Japanese aviation industry. Earlier this year, the MRJ took the static strength test program and ground test program. Mitsubishi Regional Jet is a passenger aircraft with 80-90 seats configuration.
